Meet our founder Kenny Tan πŸ‘€

"Prior to founding this company, I had combined work experience for 25 years in military and consumer banking. I never imagined becoming an entrepreneur someday, but life sometimes works in mysterious ways.

The idea for this business was borne out of a coffee session, when a friend shared about his experience on arranging home care for a parent who was on palliative treatment. It struck me that when any of us is in such a situation for the first time, and it may happen to most of us at some point, it can be unnerving to have to source and liaise with different service providers to put the necessary stuff in place.

After some research and consultation with people in the know, I decided to start this business. Having ageing parents myself, and seeing many friends caring for theirs, I came to realise the emotional and practical challenges that caregiving brings to us in the community. I believe we can build something meaningful that truly supports families when they need it most. And so, with this purpose in my heart, I took the leap of faith. And as the saying goes, the rest isΒ history...!"

Ex-SAF logistician with 27 years’ service, Ansel oversees the concierge business for Care@Home, ensuring smooth, timely, and reliable client support.

Jumiaty Nurawan

With 20 years’ experience across employment, education, IT and non-profit, Jumi oversees the employment agency for Care@Home, ensuring proper matching for quality care.

Jeremy Lim

An accomplished business development professional with over 15 years of consumer financial services experience, Jeremy drives business acquisition for Care@Home, ensuring satisfactory customer experience.

Our journey began with a vision to build a company that empowers people to live dignified and fulfilling silver years. Care@Home was founded by Kenny Tan

2024 - June

Set up employment agency for caregiver hire

2024 - December

Launched webapp to let people select and find caregivers with ease

2025 - May

Launched ecommerce platform to let people buy healthier food and medical supplies/equipment, typically needed for homecare, with convenience

2025 - October

New services such as chaperone, short-term care, medical transport, vaccination, physiotherapy and TCM services were added for more comprehensive support toΒ customers
