No. Our service is meant to complement, not replace, psychiatric or emergency medical treatment. If you or the person you care for is in crisis or at risk, please seek emergency medical help or contact a crisis helpline immediately.
Counselling sessions involve one-on-one conversations with a trained professional in a private, supportive setting, helping you process the difficult emotions, fatigue or ongoing stress that can come with caring for an elderly or home-based patient, at your own pace.
Some insurance plans may cover mental health services, and some employers also offer caregiver support benefits. We recommend checking with your provider or HR department. We can provide invoices or documentation required for reimbursement.
The professional will conduct a structured conversation and set of questions to understand how caregiving is affecting your emotional, cognitive and social wellbeing, then discuss the findings with you and recommend appropriate next steps or support.
This may be required for insurance purposes, please confirm with your insurance provider.
Psychosocial therapy is ongoing, structured support that looks at both your psychological well-being and your social circumstances as a caregiver — family dynamics, caregiving demands, and daily routine. It is suited to those in a longer-term caregiving role or adjusting to a loved one's significant health changes.
We accept payments via PayNow. We will collect a $50 deposit to confirm your booking, and full payment will be collected at the appointment.
During your first session, the professional will take time to understand your caregiving situation and concerns, discuss your goals in a comfortable and unhurried way, and agree on a suitable plan going forward. The session typically lasts 45–60 minutes.
